It is in this small magnetic country off the Mediterranean coast, where the sun sets over the snow-glazed mountains, where the people sleep at the break of dawn, where the ‘joie de vivre' is unsurpassed and where hospitality is redefined, that the pioneering and architectural masterpiece that is SkyBar was born! From the first day it opened in the summer of 2003 on the rooftop of the Palm Beach Hotel, SkyBar was an instant hit and rapidly became the favored hot spot of both the Lebanese and foreign jet setters. This new outdoor restaurant club concept was the first of its kind and eventually paved the way for others to come. Today, it majestically resides on the roof of BIEL, and remains on a pedestal of its own. With its 2,500 plus capacity, 170 staff members and 100 valet parkers, its service is uncompromised and unmatched. SkyBar has single-handedly placed Beirut on the map by being nominated as the number one nightclub in the world. Its mind-blowing ambiance is an experience that is not to be missed. Moreover, its award-worthy architecture reflects earthy tones as it is composed of the 5 natural elements; fire, wood, stone, sea and air. It's illuminated and abstract : shape bar, the longest in Lebanon, stretches over 60 meters and comfortably seats over 140 people. The hot summer nights are pleasantly cooled by high powered air-conditioning units that have been subtly blended into the artistic design. Every detail, every aspect and every touch has ingeniously been accounted for.
